  • How and when do I register?
  • You can register for the conference online using a valid credit card. Alternatively you can download the registration form & mail it to us along with the payment. http://www.paniit2010.org/registration.html
    On the spot registrations commence from 0930 hrs on the 29th Oct 2010 at the conference venue. Advance registration will give you some Discounts and other benefits.
  • What is the Accommodation like?
  • Special rates for accommodation have been negotiated with various hotels & guest houses for the stay of delegates. Please check the following link http://www.paniit2010.org/accommodation.html for more details.
  • What about meals and refreshments?
  • The meals & refreshments from lunch on 29th Oct - lunch on 31st Oct (excl. breakfast) are included in the registration.
  • What is included in the registration fee?
  • Apart from the conference, the fee includes all lunches, dinners, entry to all entertainment zones at the venue along with the exhibition area.
  • How do I get information on my arrival at conference?
  • There will be a help desk as soon as you enter the venue to answer all your queries & give out any information that is required.
  • What happens after I arrive at the airport / railway station?
  • For all delegates who are staying at the official designated hotels, please head for the entrance to the Metro stations. You will find a manned help desk to assist you & make further arrangements to reach the venue of the conference / hotel of your choice.

    For delegates who wish to take the radio cabs provided on special rates to PAN IIT 2010, please proceed to the designated vendor booth & show your identity to avail the facility. .
  • What do I need to bring and to wear?
  • The weather in Delhi in Oct is just perfect. We are moving towards the winter season. You are advised to carry comfortable clothing for the day & light jackets for the evenings if required.
  • What about when the conference ends?

  • What if there is an Emergency?
  • We have a fully equipped ambulance with a doctor & nurses on stand by for all 3 days to cater to any medical emergency that may arise.

    As for any other emergency, the venue will be equipped with a fire engine along with firemen & security staff to man all stations 24 hrs for the conference days.

  • Are there any social functions surrounding the conference?
  • We have entertainment programs designed to fill up all your days at the conference. There are optional tours of the city as well as lots of social activity on site – meet your buddies, network with the best in town and reminisce about your IIT days at the local adda's. The evenings are filled with gala entertainment programs for one & all.
  • What are the VISA requirements?
  • Specific Visas are granted for a variety of purposes. The principal types of Visa issued are mentioned below. Please contact the High Commission of India for further details if you are visiting India for purposes other than tourism, such as journalism, conferences, yoga, voluntary work, mountaineering or other expeditions. The visa application form is, however, the same. Separate forms are available for Pakistani and Bangladeshi Nationals.

    Requirements for Visa
    1. Original passport valid for at least 6 months
    2. Correct visa fee
    3. Two passport size photographs (5 photographs in case of Pakistani Nationals
    4. Supporting documents, where necessary
    5. Duly completed application form (Pakistani and Bangladeshi Nationals need to apply on special application forms)

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR DIFFERENT TYPES OF VISA ARE GIVEN BELOW:

    Tourist Visa
    Tourists wishing to visit India will normally be granted tourist Visa, effective from the date of issue. Tourist Visa are non-extendible and non-convertible. Travel Agents who have to visit India frequently may be granted tourist Visa for a longer duration.

    Business Visa
    Business Visa are normally granted for 3 or 6 months. However, multiple-entry Business Visa for up to 2 years validity may be granted to technicians/experts going to India in pursuance of bilateral agreements or joint venture projects having government approval.

    Student & Employment Visa
    Student Visa can be obtained on furnishing proof of admission to recognized Universities/Institutions in India. Employment Visa can also be obtained on furnishing of proof of employment with companies in India.

    Transit Visa
    Transit Visa are valid for halts of up to 72 hours in India within 15 days from the date of issue of the visa and must be obtained before departure. Transit Visa cannot be obtained from immigration counters at ports of entry in India. Evidence of onward travel to a destination outside India is required.

    Entry Visa
    Entry Visa are issued to persons of Indian origin for a duration of up to 5 years. These can be obtained, depending on the purpose of visit and eligibility, on a case by case basis.

    Visa Exemption Letters for Minors
    Visa Exemption Letters previously granted to children of Indian origin (for a maximum validity of 90 days from the date of issue) have been discontinued since 1 July 1999. Visa Exemption Letters issued in the past are hence no longer valid. All children holding separate passports are now required to obtain regular Visa.
